Professional Development Planning is how you can take steps towards establishing your goals and achieving the career you want.
This course consists of 10 videos, plus activities and additional resources. As you work through the videos and activities, take the time to reflect on where you are today and where you'd like to be in future. A workbook is available to keep these activities consolidated in one place.
While this course has been developed with interpreters and translators in mind, it's applicable to anyone in any profession.
Your Instructor
Christy is a practising Certified Interpreter (Auslan-English) with 20 years’ experience in the field. During that time, she has worked in a variety of education, community, legal, medical, theatre and conference settings. She holds a Diploma of Interpreting, a Postgraduate Diploma in Auslan-English Interpreting, a Master of Translation and Interpreting Studies and a Master of Disability Studies (Sensory Disability). Christy also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing and has many years experience training and assessing interpreters. On top of her interpreting qualifications, she has also completed a Diploma of Business (Governance) and has served on a number of boards and committees in the interpreting sector.
